The recent Ultimate Occlusion Level 1 course in Englewood, New Jersey brought together some of Clinical Mastery’s top educators. Drs. John Nosti, Lee Ann Brady, Jason Olitsky, and Michael Smith combined their passions to teach “Mastering Functional Dentistry” to 21 dentists. One dentist hailed from as far away as Trinidad and Tobago and there were three husband and wife dental teams. Suffice to say, it was a fun and engaging learning environment for the entire group.
The course was housed at Vizstara, a state of the art dental education facility and practice. CMS educators and participants took advantage of the classroom style lecture hall and pristine operatories.
Much of the time during the course was spent in clinic, using our hands-on teaching style to facilitate concrete learning that participants could implement in their practices the following Monday morning. The course featured focused exercises to enhance aesthetic and technical competencies.
The feedback from Ultimate Occlusion has been truly gratifying. One participant, Corey Karamzin, wrote, “Molly and I have completed many CEs but none that have loaded our minds with as much practice-altering data as CMS. We have an energy to further master this information and present it [to] our patients.”
Dr. Karamzin’s comments highlight what Ultimate Occlusion is all about. CMS educators target and explain areas of learning that can be brought back immediately to the practice. It’s also significant that participants find value in attaining skills that can take them to a level of confidence where they consider themselves masters.
