Top Things You Need to Do: Make the Most of Seattle CE

Experience Seattle the CMS way with this guide to our favorite sights.

Seattle Dental Continuing Education

A dental CE course can be a “meh” event where you accrue some credits and get the heck out of dodge. Or it can be one of the best weekends of the year, with lots of laughs and good times.

Read on for what to do, see, eat, and smile about while you elevate your learning during Occlusion Level 2: Mastering Complex Cases.

A beautiful Seattle view.Sleepless in Seattle: Our Favorite Things to Do

It’s like pairing charcuterie with a young syrah or a rack of lamb with cabernet sauvignon. Inspiring dental continuing education goes deliciously well with adventures in a classic city.

When most people think Seattle, they visualize some combination of flannel-wearing hipsters, rainy days, and outdoorsy-everything. They’re not far off… And we think part of the fun of travel is really embracing the “classic” touristy sights.

Without further ado, here is our essential list:

Enjoy the seattle ferry.
CMS Executive Director Jenn Janicki and Husband – Enjoying the Ferry!

1) Seafair Weekend and Ferries

Want to mix tourist-friendly fun with real Seattleite tradition? You’re in luck. Coinciding with the dates of the UO2 course is this “summertime celebration” with live music, powerboat racing, and a U.S. Navy Blue Angels appearance.

Pro Tip: If you’re a diehard Grey’s Anatomy fan, you may not be looking too favorably on the ferries. But give it a chance and try it out as a way to enjoy this gorgeous city from a new perspective.

Pairs well with: Advanced Joint Diagnostic Methods

Enjoy a day of seattle fun at Pike Place Market.2) Pike Place Market

Ever heard of this little coffee chain called Starbucks? It all (basically) started here at this famous market. The best way to enjoy Pike Place is to people watch and stuff your face with delicious food. There’s just something about stalls of fresh fruit and handmade crafts that equates to a day well-spent.

Pairs well with: Hands on Advanced Equilibration

Embrace your inner child with a ride (or a ground view) of this ferris wheel. Think of it as a stepping stone for the London Eye. Oh, and make sure you purchase tickets online in advance.

Pairs well with: Hands On Anatomical Appliance Adjustment and Hands On Treatment Planning with Participant’s Cases. (If you haven’t submitted your case yet, the deadline is July 15th!)

The Experience Music Museum is gorgeous.4) Experience Music Museum

We’ve never seen a building that epitomized the word “groovy” more. Prepare to have your mind blown by this pop culture entertainment hub.

Pairs well with: ‘Drink and Grind’ Happy Hour and Treatment Planning

You have to visit the space needle.5) Iconic Space Needle

It wouldn’t be Washington’s iconic city without the Space Needle. Observe it from afar or buy tickets to take a trip up to the top.

Pairs well with: Advanced Prep Design with Complex Cases

There you have it, folks! Order a glass of prosecco with Dr. Brady (it’s her favorite). Invite Dr. Nosti to discuss why his homemade pasta is the best. Suggest a tequila tasting or compare the merits of different cuts of steak with Dr. Smith. While you’re at it, gaze at the gorgeous pacific northwest skyline.
